Lark Mason Art Advisory

Lark E. Mason, Jr., President of the Appraiser’s Association of America, 2019-2021, was for nearly twenty-five years a senior officer, generalist, and expert in Chinese works of art with Sotheby’s, New York; and Chairman of Asia Week New York 2016-2017.

Lark Mason Art Advisory provides personal property expertise with decades of experience in regional, national, and international markets. Our team of specialists and associates bring expertise across all major categories of the arts, with offices in Manhattan and New Braunfels, Texas, and with associates in most major US regions.

The firm offers a full range of services, providing appraisals and recommendations on the conservation, valuation, and sale of works of art. Typical projects begin with a discussion of the goals of the owners, review of images or previous appraisals of the items, and a time-frame for the completion of the project followed by an in-depth proposal. Whether a single prized painting or an extensive collection, the firm tailors its approach to the needs of the client.
